At LifeHouse Church, we have a number of ways you can get involved.
First Impressions Team - We are responsible for creating a warm, welcoming environment for guests of LifeHouse. This is a great opportunity for you to meet visitors and regular attendees alike. Roles are divided into three categories: Pre-service: Setup signs, welcome and offering tables, prepare coffee & snacks. Arrive by 9:30am. During service: Greeters and ushers welcome guests and attend to their needs/ questions. 9:45am-1:00pm Post-service: Tear-down of signs, tables and refreshments. 12:30pm-1:15pm. Training will be provided. Time commitment is expected to be once every three weeks.
Sound and Media Team - We ensure that the sound equipment and media presentations are running smoothly on Sundays or at special events. Volunteers always work in pairs, and it’s a fun opportunity to help implement quality technical elements that enhance the message being presented. Sound - Setup and operate sound equipment and sound board on Sunday mornings. Time commitment: 9:00am-12:30pm, once every 4 weeks. Training provided, but some knowledge of live music, recording, or music is helpful. Media Tech - Setup and operate media via computer on Sunday mornings, changing slides during music and preaching. Time Commitment: 9:30am-12:30pm, once every 4 weeks. Training provided, but some knowledge of computers and general familiarity with the songs we sing is helpful.
Post-Service Prayer - This is a great opportunity for Healing School and Firestarter graduates to put what you’ve learned into practice. Join us in ministering to all those requiring prayer immediately after Sunday service.
Peel Family Shelter Outreach Team - We build relationships with homeless families by telling them about God, conducting a small church service, serving snacks, and handing out bibles and kids books that help them learn about the gospel. People are encouraged with a message of hope; that God loves them and is continually pursuing their hearts. We meet every Wednesday from 7pm-8:30pm at 1767 Dundas Street East (across the street from the National Sports). Great opportunity for people with a heart to worship, preach, and interact with families (max every 2 weeks).
